Nature of Work:

Monitoring violations, documentation through interactive maps, conducting awareness seminars, and proposing legal solutions.

Importance:

An early warning tool against unauthorized changes; addressing institutional gaps.

Current Achievements:

  • A website branch affiliated with the Kafaat website has been created to publish cases of violations against architectural heritage.
  • Six cases of violations against architectural heritage have been monitored, distributed between the governorates of Damascus and Aleppo.
  • Monitoring reports have been prepared and published.

Stakeholders:

: Local organizations concerned with architectural heritage, universities, and decision-makers.

Timeline:

  • Short-term work plan: Started in June 2025 and ends in March 2026.
  • Medium-term work plan: Will start in March 2026 and end in September 2027.
  • Long-term work plan: Will start in September 2027.
