Policy Analysis Unit

The department plays a key role in analyzing policies that intersect with the reconstruction process, providing insights and studies on the challenges and difficulties facing the reconstruction process in Syria, and guiding public opinion toward strategies that support comprehensive reconstruction plans. It also works to build public opinion that supports the Association’s positions in making sound decisions.

 The unit accomplishes this through the following tasks:

1- Monitoring

● Monitoring and following up on relevant policies: Monitoring public policies related to recovery, reconstruction, and sustainable development, and analyzing their trends and impact on the local context..

2- Preparing Strategies

Preparing long-term strategies: Developing comprehensive strategies aligned with national priorities and supporting the development of reconstruction systems to ensure long-term sustainability.

● Coordination and cooperation with relevant stakeholders: Collaborating with executive bodies and relevant institutions to raise awareness of the issues and challenges related to reconstruction and facilitating knowledge exchange on ways to address them.

4- Concluding agreements and memoranda

Concluding agreements and memoranda of understanding: Establishing strategic partnerships and signing memoranda of understanding with relevant institutions to support policy studies and enhance integrated efforts in the reconstruction file.

 To achieve sustainable development goals at the local and international levels, by conducting studies on all policies related to reconstruction operations, to build a general viewpoint that supports sustainable reconstruction strategies, and to develop plans to assess the economic and social impacts of these strategies.
